Today in biology we did a variety of different activities. First we took notes on improving our technical writing by adding specific language. Get the notes on NB p. 25 from Ms. Adams or a classmate. Don't forget to do a summary. Then we highlighted the most important ideas from the Amazing Cells webquest on pp. 20-21. Finally we set up modified Frayer models for organelle vocabulary on pp. 28-31. Also be sure to get the animal cell handout from the Week 23 folder in the document crate.
For homework, complete the top two boxes (definition/function and illustration for six of the organelles that are listed on NB pp. 20-21.
In AP bio, I checked the notes on concept 13.3. Then students made a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting mitosis & meiosis. This will be used for an in class essay tomorrow.
For HW, highlight and summarize your notes.
